Writing books on local history is a labour of love and seldom a viable commercial exercise. My main aims in writing local history are:
- To collect, collate and help preserve information, facts, anecdotes and oral tradition which might otherwise be lost to future generations.
- To present historical information in a format which is reader-friendly with the hope that that information will reach a wide readership.
- The challenge of researching, writing and publishing the history of an area that has not previously been covered.
